Clothing Boutique Restyling
Type Restyling of a clothing shop, Interior Design, Furniture Design
Place Castagneto Carducci, Tuscany
Chronology 2020
Client Private
The activity of a clothes boutique not belonging to the large-scale distribution lies on the fine balance between different appearances potentially conflicting: the shop philosophy on the one hand, the brands on the other. The stage design should preserve the identity of the former, particularly if carries a heritage, while highlights the qualities of the latter. In the center of the stage we find the customer’s experience, the main character on the scene.

This restyling work for a small shop opened in Eighties followed some cardinal principles: the preservation of quality interior components – the shop window, an interesting woodwork as well as the loft – and its use as scenographic elements, a clean clothes exhibition, realised through a minimal but largerly configurabile system, the renovation of surfaces and, most of all, the lighting system made by architectural spotlights mounted on a bespoke-designed suspension lamp.
